Catherine Maclellan at the Evergreen Theatre

I saw Catherine Maclellan play the last show of the season at the Evergreen Theatre in Margaretsville this past weekend. She has a really beautiful voice and this was the perfect little venue for it. It was really quiet and I didn't get many chances to snap photos...so quiet that the man beside me slept through most of the show!

Gilford

We took a trip to Maine and New Hampshire this weekend to see the Avett Brothers play in Gilford. The show was well worth the long drive and we saw a lot in our travels in between. Nicole Atkins opened for the Avetts and I've been listening to her album ever since. Unfortunately I couldn't take my camera in to the show but I did manage to snap a few blurry photos. On a recent trip to Scots Bay I met a woman who was having a little moving sale in her front lawn. She invited us inside where there were more piles of junk for the taking. It was a neat old house and looked like nothing had been touched for the past 50 years.
