Last week my class took a trip to Lockeport, a small town on the south shore of Nova Scotia. Our assignment was to document a day in the town, and the photos will later be published in a book. It was a rainy but fun day, and the nice people at Cotters Ocean Products sent us back with lots of lobster for supper!

Last Assignment
This week I finished my last assignment for school. My very talented friend Jen took some time to model for me while she was working on a painting at NSCAD. The criteria was to shoot an image on-location for a magazine cover.
Sun Porch Practice
A photo I took last month while shooting some video; Chase, Jon and Zach practicing some acoustic versions of the songs they played the following week at the Paragon Theatre in Halifax!
Canada Games 2011
I was lucky enough to get a media pass to the Canada Games in Halifax this year. I was sick most of the second week, so mostly just shot the concerts in Parade Square. Hey Rosetta, Matt Mays, and Buck 65 all put on really great shows, and despite the cold there was a great turn out.
I also did end up some shooting the sychronized swimming finals for Joe Robichaud of Tanglewood Studios.

Food & Beverage
I had a few assignments this semester to shoot food and beverage. It is not easy, but it is rewarding when you finally get the right combination of good styling and lighting. Here are my first few attempts:
Kerry Lawrence
After shooting lots of product for school in the past few months, I wanted to get back into taking pictures of people for a change. Kerry Lawrence modeled, and Kate Richard was kind enough to come in and do her makeup.
Kate Richard
A few of my favorites from a fun shoot I had in January with the talented model and make up artist Kate Richard!
Roome Street Recording
A few photos from the Devil's Half Acre recording in January. From what I’ve heard everything is sounding really good. It’s a difficult task to be quiet and take photos during recording, but Tom the cat made more noise than I did.
